Overview
Vintage closet is a mobile version of a vintage clothing sales app targeted at 25 to 34 year olds who want to buy and sell vintage clothing online.
The Brief
The original brief asked for three key functionalities: create a profile, upload items, and leave reviews for other sellers.
Additional Functionalities
• Search for items for purchase
• View items in cart before purchase
Research
During the research stage I took a look at two popular apps for selling used clothing online : Depop and Poshmark.
My research into these two apps allowed me to see how principles of design and usability heuristics are used in the designs of similar apps as well as common design patterns that users may be used to.
Depop uses a bottom navigation bar and tabs to help users navigate the app.
Postmark offers users the option to like and share listings with icons under each.

I began by sketching my low-fidelity wireframes before later moving them into Adobe XD and creating my mid-fidelity wireframes.
Moodboard & Style Guide
Based on current trends in vintage clothing that I have observed online and in vintage shops, I aimed for the design for this app to reflect a fun and fresh feeling inspired in particular by 70s, 90s and Y2K aesthetics which are currently popular and trendy.
